Make plans to attend the upcoming Ten Commandments Hike sponsored by the Southeast Louisiana Council and taking place on the uptown streets of New Orleans. This interfaith hike has ten stops along its route at various houses of worship where one of the Ten Commandments is revealed to the hikers.

The Bridging Ceremony is where each rank "crosses over" to begin working on the next rank up. First Graders are Tiger Scouts, and upon completion of their first grade year (going into the second grade) they are ready to begin working to become Wolf Scouts. Third graders are Bears, fourth graders are 1st year Webelos and fifth graders are 2nd year Webelos. The bridging ceremony had them standing on one side of a bridge as one rank and as they crossed over, they stepped into the next rank. It was very nice.

Webelos Adventure Camp offers an in-depth four-day, three night Scouting experience. Scouts will camp in tents, learn basic camping skills, and work on challenging activity badges. Webelos Scouts’ dens can choose from a variety of Activity Badges with emphasis on the Outdoor activity badge group. Adventure Camp provides an excellent growth opportunity as boys make the transition from Cub Scout Day Camp to the long-term camping experience they will have in their future as Boy Scouts

I went ahead and ordered the tickets for the game. I received them in the mail today! I did order extra tickets in case somebody else wants to come. The tickets are 13 dollars not 11 dollars. (Service Charge)…. I talked to the people and they told me the best place to park is the Super Dome, Parking prices are 10 dollars per car. The extra tickets are first come first serve, but the Voodoo ticket office said I can order more tickets if I order them soon enough… Tickets will be handed out at the next den meeting and Blue and Gold.Friday April 27thTickets $13.00 per person

Cub World will be held at Salmen Scout Reservation on April 13-15. The Pack registration forms are available on the Council website, or here. Please note, that as with Fall Encampment there will be no vehicle traffic in camp to drop off your gear for this event. The early registration deadline is March 16th and a leader’s guide will be made available next week. With a theme of Things that Geaux, the directors are looking for scouting families with motorcycles or other specialty vehicles or connections to other individuals with such vehicles to participate in a mini car show on April 14th. Tell your boys to hold on to their Pinewood Derby cars too as we are working on a Council Pinewood Derby to be held at camp.
